CA seems to have an affinity for the EP Carrillo brand...this is the second one in three years they've anointed one of his offerings the top annual spot...

the 2018 EP Carrillo Encore was, IMHO, way over-rated...I have a couple of those left, and they did not improve much in two years...

I saw these at one place shortly after they came out but were already sold out IIRC. I scored a 5er of the toro's. Should get them sometime next week. That popular place is taking pre-orders on 10cnt boxes with free shipping atm.

If they could just replicate the Short Run 2010 blend, I'd buy it. Otherwise, haven't had anything else from EPC that really did it for me.

The Encore blend is pretty good but I like the La Historia more. Seleccion Oscuro is also a good one. Haven't tried the Pledge and probably won't for a while, not gonna pay the inflated price that they will be going for over the next few months.

The EP Carrillo Elencos from 2011 was my fave...bought some at the local B&M which were better than the ones I got on-line...not sure why...

the 2017 re-release didn't measure up, tho
