Is it still a direct reflection of the President or have we finally de linked that short term myth.

Right now it is based on the strength of Trumps August reinstatement.

But I think S&P hit a record today. Doesn’t that show the President’s greatness, it did a year or two ago.

Or did it?

I’m not having any real issue yet but I never heard how bout that purchase power. It was always the market. Are we moving the goalposts again?

Because really the only number that ever mattered when the jobs reports etc were not great were the markets and how that greatness was a direct reflection of trump. Of course the positive jobs reports etc were directly related to the Prez.

Are we now going to delink things? I hope so. It would be correct. Always would have been. Good to see people wake up. I’m sure it’s not a “my guy” disease.

And the pandemic of course killed the markets for awhile which wasn’t trumps fault (only positive markets were due to him). I’m sure that has nothing to do with supply chains or purchasing powers.

It was indefensible under trump it’s hysterical to watch folks play the game now.

I do hope some in my party recognize the silly arguments they were lead in to defending that bozo and just become legit again.

it's a lost cause, with so many still embracing the relics of the past that have become symbols of hate, whether they like it or not...

like embracing black...

there are signs of sanity, though few and far between, so there is hope for the future...

may take a generation before the base loses its grip and the divisive hate-filled fog lifts....

They followed the pied piper to a place they really don’t believe or support (if you believe what they claimed previous to him) and now are in a bad place.

They need a way to save face and regain some sanity.

we'll see how many have the courage to stand up for conservative ideals and policies and run without concern about how Trump's base would vote...too many now fear the base...

if enough run without pandering to the base, win, and produce results that are beneficial to many people, that could be a turning point for the party...

in the meantime, Dems don't seem to be uniting and exploiting a weakened GOP, so there isn't an urgency...

Well the dems being loony and unhinged is a given

at one time, GOP used those pejoratives against Dems from a self-righteous and indignant perspective...they've lost the high ground...
