That looks like a boxer I had as a kid. He used to open our Christmas presents for us, and the wrapping paper always ended up looking a lot like that foam mattress.

That looks just like our Doggy Ashton... and from the looks of this Pic acts just like him as well...

He recently broke his 3/8" log chain and already knows how to climb our 6' fence and where would he be? something's got to be in heat around the neighborhood I would say LOL...

I think we got him corroled now once again?

3/8 inch log chain? They must have whimpy trees down there Hog...

Reminds me of our old Bulldog that turned Heather's Braided Ficus tree into a mud puddle and a bunch of tooth picks in the middle of the new livingroom carpet.

She got a kennel within the hour....

Or how about the time that he ate his doggie bed and then proceeded to spew foam laced vomit all over the kitchen?

And what did you say is so bad about our current dog?

You did'nt think the vommit kitchen was a problem at the time, because I had to clean it up.

I love plants. I have them in planter pots from small to very large all over the house. Hog and I came home one day and our "huge" baby escaped from his little jail house and every single plant was turned over and thrown from one end of the house to the other. The pots where every where from on the couch to in the basement. The dirt from the pots actually covered our hardwood floors about 1 inch thick. The trash from the kitchen was mixed in with all the dirt and my 24 pack of diet coke had been used as footballs with punctured holes from his teeth. They had spewed on the walls, ceilings and we found several empty cans in our bed.

Ashton was a nightmare while he was growing up. This was almost an everyday occurrence with him. He has still not grown up. It has to be the male thing. LOL When he reached over 100 Lbs we put him outside.

He didn't break the tree, he broke the chain. The tree is still standing. LOL

He is huge, but wouldn't harm a fly. He has to be the biggest baby, besides our lab. My son told me that I ruined them because I spoiled them so much. It is really funny when you say, You wanna go bye bye..LOL You just better make sure you are not standing in the way of the truck door. We are going to have to buy a bus pretty soon. Ashton keeps escaping and making house calls around the neighborhood.

I swear, I keep opening this thread because, at first glance, the title looks like "BRAD pit bull," and I'm expecting something like livestock that looks like him, a dog with a birthmark on it's butt that looks like him, or an article that says that Granola-boy has made it his mission to save the oppressed cows of the world or something.

Do people look at this and say "ha ha"? Is this funny? I look at this and want to cut the damn dog's head off. And some of the stories earlier in the post? Is that acceptable to let your dog wreck your house?

I guess I'm just not a dog person. I wouldn't tolerate that for a second and I would never allow myself to be put in that position (by letting a dog that large in my house - or any dog period for that matter).

Flame away.

This dog must be related to the German Shepherd I had many years ago. We used to keep him in a heated room in the basement while we were away at work...he had food, water, all his chew toys, and a comfy bean bag to snooze on. This worked for about a week. One day we got home to find the pooch had chewed his way right through the lath and plaster wall next to the door, then turned his bean bag to a pile of Naugahyde shreds and foam pellets all over the cellar.

Generally, no - they don't approve of it, any more than parents approve of their child sitting contentedly in the middle of the floor, cutting holes in their clothing with a pair of scissors, or trimming their own hair, or flushing inappropriate objects and/or small fish down the toilet or any of the myriad destructive things that children do. Most reasonably intelligent dogs have about the same good judgement and self control as a preschooler... and they get bored just as quickly. Dog owners tell stories and post pictures like this usually because this behavior is NOT an everyday event, any more than a child peeing in the display toilets at Home Depot (yes, that was MY son...) is an everyday event. The dog was probably scolded SOUNDLY, spanked with a paper and crated from that point on... and odds are the behavior was NOT repeated. My world revolves around my kids, and if it came to choosing between them and the dogs - well that's just a stupid choice to offer in the first place - BUT... my 2 large indoor/outdoor dogs were a helluva lot easier to housebreak and STILL have better manners than most teenagers (probably because I can crate them or banish them to the yard and no one will call CPS on me LOL.)
