Proposition 1 would gut the state’s Independent Redistricting Commission, which was broadly approved by voters in 2014, thus allowing a return to more partisan gerrymandering. It would also enshrine a provision in the state Constitution to include undocumented immigrants in district counts, permanently giving urban areas (that often vote Democratic) more representation than rural areas that are already feeling marginalized.

Proposition 3 would allow same-day voter registration, opening the door to fraud.

Proposition 4 would legalize universal voting by mail throughout New York state. That the least-secure form of voting, as even The New York Times has acknowledged. Anyone who dares call out these shenanigans as corrupt is falsely labeled anti-(small “d”) democratic — when the truth is just the opposite.

I'm happy to report (and somewhat surprised) that these 3 progtard proposals put on the ballot in NYS were soundly defeated.

No: 48.52%

Yes: 37.67%

Same-day voter registration is a goal good-government groups have long fought for, and this proposal would enable the state Legislature to pass a law allowing same-day registration.

Proposal 4 – No-excuse absentee voting

Yes: 38.60%

No: 50.09%

While the COVID-19 pandemic effectively made no-excuse absentee voting a temporary reality, an amendment to the state constitution is required for the state to allow it permanently.

There was another one, Proposal #2 which did win however.

A vague and meaningless proposal to amend to the state constitution, that would guarantee every person the right to clean air, clean water. I don't think the founders of the state had environmental stuff in mind when they wrote the Bill of Rights into the state constitution, but that's how progtards roll, inventing new rights. The voters got snookered by this high-sounding socialist rhetoric, and I'm sure the weaselly lawyers are cheering on the possibilities of some new ammo for excessive litigation supported by this.

The Western NY Mayor Race

I don't live in the City of Buffalo but the election for mayor was a big deal for a lot of people considering the winner of the Democratic primary this summer was a shocker, the Democratic Socialist (Commie) India Walton who defeated the incumbent Mayor Byron Brown. The mayor didn't give up though and ran as a write-in candidate and claimed victory last night over the hardcore commie Walton who was openly supported by fellow travelers AOC, Chucky Schumer, Kirsten Gillibrand, and Elizabeth Warren. Although absentee ballots and ballots by dead people haven't been counted yet it looks like he wins by about a 59% to 41% margin. Walton has refused to accept defeat until all votes are counted.
