At an estimated average of about $5 a gallon that’s around $107,000.

Since diesel is used at every step in the farm to table process this should shed a little light on shelf prices.

Say one is through the mountains for 500 miles, vs a Great Plains run of the same distance?

Since getting a diesel pickup I notice fuel stations with semi truck access charge more per gallon, probably because they can and maybe a little more to pay for a larger facility, but it looks like a ripoff to me. They do charge less for DEF though.
