This is a Wow Article... What If Parents Start being held accountable for their Childrens Actions? If a child is on medications for mood swings or Identifying as a Cat or a Dog or Whatever? there's an issue! Healthcare workers are restricted by HIPPA laws to not report any of this possible behaviors, so it would be up to the Parents too??

Well if parents can’t be trusted with their kids and that’s why the schools have to make decisions for them, why aren’t they being held accountable.

Healthcare workers are not restricted by HIPAA laws when it the patient is under 18. Technically all parents have access to all their medical information including their charts and therapy notes (for better or for worse).

I think anyone who gives a minor access to fire arms is account able for that the minor does with them.

Yes Parents do, but healthcare professionals and workers are bound by HIPPA to disclose information on minors or adults including medications one may be prescribed. thus it would fall on the parents to keep an eye on their own children. many parents today do not pay close enough attention to their Kids, toss them an IPhone, Ipad, computer etc. and stay outa my hair!! 🤦

If you have a kid that’s got mental issues that’s a time I support having them under lock and key.

Mandating is a problem.

Parents should be liable as they have less kids around for more time than schools do.

Amazing how things have changed.

Santa brought me a shotgun for Christmas when I was 10 or 11. A rifle when I was a couple years older.

When I was in high school there was a shotgun, rifle or both in at least 98.2% of the pickup trucks in the student parking lot. We had fights, but no one dared retrieve a firearm from their vehicle. Firearm free zones were unheard of at the time.

Look at where we are now. Truly pathetic.

Entirely too many kids, raised by the school not the parents. My three year old grandaughter has already informed me she can't be what was considered in my time ,"properly" disciplined. Spare the rod spoil the child, as true today as ever.

Analogously, Florida law makes parent who signed for the kid's driving permit and license fully liable until the kid turns 18.
