Hope you guys and the people you care for are doing well.

All we can hope and pray for is for people to circle the drain as slow as possible.

Peace, Brothers.

Just got word last night from my step mom that my uncles wife passed. Been on hospice for some time, this was her third battle with cancer. She was one strong lady, her husband (my uncle) is my last living uncle on my dad’s side of the family. The uncle that ^ Delta looks like.

got a second pair of hearing aids today...the first set helped but irritated my ears somewhat...after two days of wearing them, I only put them on when watching movies on TV and when going out to eat at noisy restaurants...

this second pair seems to be less scratchy sounding...

prolly not gonna wear either one all day every day, but only on those occasions where improved hearing is desirable...kinda like I do with my eyeglasses...

I can try them for up to 60 days to pick a pair...

My health insurance with Kaiser has a hearing benefit, and will cover the cost of the basic hearing aids.

Started my MS meds last Tuesday.

Today the dosage doubles to what will be the maintenance level. Now to wait and see how/if it does anything for me. So far no change just added fatigue and a little bit of flushing in my face which are both side effects of the med and expected to go away once i am a few weeks into the maintained dosage.

Saw my cardiologist today. PET scan looked good, Echo looked good. I asked him if I could stop taking the damn plavix and he said no. I said, dammit... I only got a month left! And he said... Exactly... 1 more month and you can stop. 🤦

*Yosemite Sam* Razzle frazzle rackin frackin...

Any restrictions, Doc? You can run a marathon if you want to. Yeah, no... we'll have none of that.

Longest I ever ran was 10 miles. That right there told me 5 miles is plenty. 26.2 isn't on my list of things to do.

Cycling is a lot easier on your joints. I did several century rides, both miles and kilometers and one that was 137 miles in one day.

My doc just sent a script for me to get one of those Nuclear Cardiolite Stress Tests. I never did that before.

Agreed as long as the bike is fitted properly and ya don't mind numbcock from the seat. I have done many 100 mile + rides/races but my knee won't allow that any longer. Hardest was a 3 day ride of 325 miles in the mountains of northern Az called the Arizona Challenge. My 40 year old hand made Masi Grand Criterium has been hanging up too long and I need to sell it. 😞

Yup, my Cannondale road and off road bikes are collecting dust. Numbcock is bad, with the right very narrow seat and keeping your weight on the pedals and handlebars, it helped, but it is something I do not miss. Now days when I drive on some of the roads we used to ride I wonder WTF we were thinking.

Appreciate it 8track. Back to MA tomorrow.

It's been long week with mixed emotions. Many folks that I haven't seen in years even decades came to the service. Testament to how many people he touched. It was a nice gathering. My Dad wouldn't want us to morn or cry so I'm doing my best to honor that wish. I think I'm over the hump.

Hung out with family to go through some of his stuff and did a bunch of around my parent's house as a healthy distraction.

My best wishes, thoughts and prayers go out to all family, friends, and friends I have yet to meet. May you all be safe, happy, and healthy.
