Horrible day for our country and all those affected by any means.

Remember watching the video of the first plane hitting while I was at work and saying to myself this was not an error/accident. Then saw the second plane hit and knew our nation was under attack for certain.

Remember feeling so sick and numb I had to leave work that morning to go home. Then learned of the other planes too.

But, none of my experience is in any way comparable to that or those of the families who lost relatives and friends and to the first responderers. They all have my prayers.

Already got the reminder email this morning. The company I work for now lost 11 people that day.

But, it feels like, as the years pass, less and less Americans still hold those feelings. I mean, f*$k, we (…I say that collectively…) take Saudi money without any real thought. Or worst yet, don’t even realize the things Saudi money has purchased and unknowingly support them.

one of the worse days of my life...getting dressed for work, watching the news and was shocked when the second tower was hit while the first was burning...rushed to the office and everybody at work were rattled and frightened, worried whether a large community college campus was a possible target...thinking Disneyland nearby was definitely on the "list"...

there was an accreditation team from the state visiting the Santa Ana College campus on that day...I remembered crossing their paths numerous times during the day while I was out doing visible patrols...during their exit interviews, they mentioned how the terrorist attack threw them off balance but that they were re-assured by the College Safety team and mentioned me by name...their report gave high marks for the college's Safety and Security programs...

I was thinking afterwards that there wasn't a thing I/we could do if a terrorist decided to fly a plane into one of our buildings...we could only plan for what our response would include...

Hits a little different for me. I was active duty Navy at the time. Deployed to Iraq 3 times in 4 years before I retired.

I was happily oblivious until every news outlet told me to never forget.

Pardon me if I say f--k you. It's a little easier for some of us to forget.

It's cool though. Biden is going to tell us how he was playing Jenga one time and the tower fell down.

Same-Same.
