Jeebs, I smoke the Camacho Triple Maduro all the time. They definitely seem to improve with a few months (or more) of time in the humidor.

81472 - Buenaventura Cremas C100

Kinda tasted like nicely cured rolled up tobacco. Strange.:-k

šŸ˜† All kidding aside, is it a creamy type of cigar? Jake sent me 3 dozen cigars (he said he was going to send me a Nic Cream so I could taste one for myself). I didn’t find the Nic Cream to be as creamy as I had anticipated. So I’m wondering about the Buenaventura Cremas and the brand in general.

The Macanudo one was my least favorite of the Fugazi COTY sampler. If you have the opportunity, try the Fugazi Cohiba Behike. Never had one to compare it to, but I enjoyed the Fugazi version a lot.

81463 Zino Platinum Scepter Grand Master. After the Camacho I wanted to grab a better Davidoff n friends. Recently had an Avo, so I decided to dip into these.

Golden brown CT shade wrapper with minimal veins and a dull sheen. Probably not the best thing to grab after that full power pepperbomb I just was smoking but whatever, I like a good Connie.

First light is Delta1's buttered shortbread. And that continues through the first ash drop. The aroma is pleasant. The texture mildly creamy but not as rich as I was hoping, maybe it will build. Bready, sweet nuts, butter, a slight mineral note on the finish. Maybe even cubanesque.

A little more cedar and spice come up and play nicely with the sweet notes. Burn is perfect. Body is pretty thin. Texture could be richer.my A&W cream soda is helping but I think the Camacho is hurting this one with residuals.

After the halfway point this baby turned on me. It moved. Turned the spice up big time, and brought more butter rich texture that lasts. More minerally finish, more smoke, more sweetness to balance more spice. I'm loving it.

Overall an excellent cigar. In the same lane as other good Davidoff I've had.

Wonderful mouthwatering umami flavor right from the first draw. Strong presence of bitter dark cocoa and espresso bean, mildly spicy and some cedar. Second third flavors hang in there with umami softer but present, a touch of pepper checking in occasionally with leather. The cocoa is more chocolaty and espresso bean more like coffee. Final third everything winds down quickly to just a dark tobacco somewhat earthy and oaky flavor. The first two thirds are where the magic happens. Burns well and if I’m not greedy it doesn’t get too hot or bitter. I will buy this again and I would buy it for a friend who enjoys BL Maduro with full body and plenty of smoke. Not that I have any room to buy additional storage boxes, but any BL ā€˜Maduro recommendations (or discussion) is most welcome.
I smoked this for about an hour twenty minutes which I thought was quick for this vitola.

I'm a fan of the chillin moose. It's a nice yard gar and has surprisingly aged well.

81486 - Macanudo Maduro Hyde Park (49x5.5) Moderate smoke production. Mellow. Easy to smoke . Quick pepper blast on retrohale that doesn't linger. Some transition in strength at about the halfway point. Flavors of light coffee, cocoa and maduro sweetness, all fairly subtle with some ramping up past the half point. It's a casual smoke without much in flavor transitions. Probably a good offer to herf with occasional smoker friends who shy away from fuller smokes. 2nd out of a fiver and the first was the same.

I like the Bull Moose maduro but not the other Mooses. They're ok but I think the maduro is way better than its price point. Never aged them tho. I know you sent me one but I done smoked that. Got a few in my stash and I buy them regularly. I normally don't like anything bigger than 50ish ring gauge but these smoke well for 60s.
