Um...no. He is not a serious alternative.

He campaigned for Bill Clinton twice. He campaigned for Gore and JOhnKErry. He campaigned for Obama twice. Campaigned for Hillary and even campaigned for Pedo Joe. It's safe to say he's a Democrat without a party there to siphon off what appears to be the Biden castoffs. Can't say with any seriousness that he's taking away from Trump at this point. Anyone that would say they're doing so...lol.

The rumors on the guy are trickling out...womanizer = Kennedy trait....eating dog = Obama trait. worms eating into his brain = stolen Pink Floyd lyrics but it does explain some of his odd behaviors. While I applaud him for ferociously going after and exposing Big Pharma, as well as even winning lawsuits against them...they don't overcome the facts that he's a Democrat. When he refused the offer to be Trump's VP...see ya...sayonara...later. Don't need to know morre about the guy that what he already is. Could've been VP for 4 years...less because you know if there's any wat the Dems hold the Senate and reclaim the House...he'd caucus with them and release whatever he could. So...no, I don't believe him to be a serious candidate in any way shape or form. The best I can say for him is that he's not a Libertarian (he turned them down too!!!)...that guy has ZERO chance at all.

He'll pull some voters here and there. Could be a spoiler in a battleground state if he makes it on their ballot. At the moment he's only on a handful as far as I know.

The more I listen to him the nuttier he sounds. Even if true, the last thing I'd admit to is having a parasite eating my brain.

On the other hand, I never gave two shits for any of the Kennedys. The press always seemed to put them on a pedestal even though their money is as dirty as it gets. So, take that for what it's worth.

If they didn’t, they wouldn’t block his access to being on the ballot.

Last I saw, he was on in seven states.

RFK Jr. Under Fire After Dirty Move Against Trump, Leaking Private Conversation - 'Unacceptable'

Now, another candidate is in the hot seat.

The tumultuous 2024 presidential campaign took another bizarre turn Tuesday that had independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. apologizing after a dirty move against former President Donald Trump.

And it has the RFK Jr. camp scrambling.

Kennedy’s son, Bobby Kennedy III, used the social media platform X to post a recording of what was supposed to be a private conversation between his father and Trump on Sunday, the day after Trump barely survived an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, and the day before Trump announced Republican Sen. J.D. Vance as his running mate.

In the call, Trump shared his concerns about vaccines for very young children, discussed his post-shooting phone call with President Joe Biden, and appeared to urge RFK Jr. to drop out of the race — and possible join Trump’s campaign.

“I would love you to do something,” Trump said in the recording. “And I think it’ll be so good for you and so big for you. And we’re going to win.”

What exactly Trump was referring to isn’t explicit in the portion of the recording that was leaked, but it can be inferred from the context that it involves supporting Trump’s effort.

What’s crystal clear, though, is that recording what is apparently supposed to be a private conversation is the kind of dirty move that normal Americans find repugnant.

RJK Jr. admitted as much when he issued an apology on social media, claiming the recording was inadvertent.

When President Trump called me I was taping with an in-house videographer. I should have ordered the videographer to stop recording immediately. I am mortified that this was posted. I apologize to the president.

The part about him being “mortified that this was posted” is probably true. But what’s interesting is that Kennedy never makes the claim that he wasn’t aware that he was being recorded — but that Trump was.

Just his body language alone indicates he knew the camera was running. His monosyllabic answers do, too. Maybe he was doing it for his memoirs. Maybe he was doing it to build up video he could use in the campaign at a later date.

Whatever the reason, it’s not making RFK Jr. look good.

And he’s coming under fire on social media.

As one user wrote: “RFK should drop out of the race now … Unacceptable.”

In the footage, Trump described how the bullet felt ripping through his ear and talked about his call with Biden.

Some states require two-party consent to record a phone call.

Besides being inexusable on a common courtesy level, this recording might also have been illegal.

What’s interesting here to Trump supporters is the only difference between how Trump sounds in what he apparently considered a private conversation and how he sounds at his campaign rallies seems to be a question of volume.

His description of his concerns about vaccines sound like those of a man who’s watched five children through their infancy. (As an aside, note how responsible and productive Trump’s offspring have been in adulthood compared to the Biden clan — and not just Hunter.)

His evident amazement at his own near death comes through loud and clear.

“Something rapped me. It felt like a giant, like the world’s largest mosquito. And it was … It was a bullet. What did they call that? An AR-15 or something? That was a big gun. Those are pretty tough guns, right?”

He sounds like a normal person, in other words.

The only one who looks bad here is Kennedy, who maintains a stoic expression, clearly aware of the camera recording — though one would think a guy with Kennedy’s family history might be more empathetic when it comes to assassinations.

Kennedy comes across as exactly the kind of calculating politician who’s listening to a man describe a near-death experience but who’s thinking of nothing other than how it might or might not benefit his own political future.

Whatever Bobby Kennedy III thought he was going to accomplish by leaking the video, unless it was to make his father look the kind of snake-in-the-grass politician normal people loathe, it was a failure.

This "tiger" isn't going to change his "stripes". He is what he is. Nothing more and nothing less. To expect anything different is worth a chance, but Kennedy won't and can't alter who and what he is. I totally understand why everyone said John John was the last chance at Camelot.

If he's willing to record Trump then he would Xi and Putin as well.

Call this "jumping the bear."

Apparently racing to beat an upcoming report from The New Yorker, Kennedy has confessed that he dumped a dead bear in Central Park in 2014, and staged the scene to make it look like the cub had been killed in a collision with a bicycle. In a video he posted to social media, Kennedy is shown kicking back in a kitchen, sharing the colorful anecdote with actress Rosanne Barr.

Kennedy said he was driving up to the Hudson Valley for a falconing hunt when a van in front of him struck and killed the bear cub. "I pulled over and I picked up the bear and put him in the back of my van because I was going to skin the bear. It was very good condition and I was going to put the meat in my refrigerator,” he said, noting that New York state allows people to get a "bear tag for a roadkill bear."

However, he and his hunting party had such a productive and enjoyable hunt that they ended up staying late. That precluded a trip back to his home in Westchester, because he had a dinner at Peter Luger Steak House in New York in New York City. The dinner went long too, and he had a flight to catch, again barring a trip to his refrigerator.

Not wanting to leave the bear to rot in his car, the then-60-year-old Kennedy opted to turn his conundrum into a sophomoric prank that would capitalize on a controversy that was ongoing in New York City at the time, as multiple people had been killed and badly injured using recently-installed bike lanes. Conveniently, Kennedy had an old bicycle in his car that someone had given him to dispose of.

"I wasn't drinking, of course, but people were drinking with me who thought this was a good idea," said Kennedy. "I said, 'Let's go put this bear in Central Park and we'll make it look like he got hit by a bike." The independent candidate said he and his unnamed companions thought it would be "amusing for whoever found it."

Kennedy then related his shock and anxiety when he woke the next morning to see his stunt had not only caused a huge media sensation, but intense police scrutiny:

The next day, it was on every television station. It was the front page of every paper, and I turned on the TV and there was a mile of yellow tape and there were 20 cop cars. There were helicopters flying over it. And I was like, 'Oh my God, what did I do?'

There were some people on TV in Tyvek suits with gloves on, lifting up the bike, and they're saying they're going to take this up to Albany to get it fingerprinted. I was worried because my prints were all over that bike."

Kennedy was recently contacted by The New Yorker's fact-checkers to confirm the tale was true. "You know, it's going to be a bad story," said Kennedy, with Barr and someone else in the room erupting in laughter as the video ends.

In an odd coincidence, some of the New York Times' 2014 reporting on the discovery of the 44-pound, approximately 6-month-old bear was handled by Tatiana Schlossberg, daughter of RFK Jr's first cousin, Caroline Kennedy. New York's Department of Environmental Conservation later concluded the bear was killed by a collision with a motor vehicle.

According to a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll, Kennedy is the top choice of 8% of voters. Last week, his campaign said that, in working to secure ballot access, it had crossed over one million signatures collected, saying that was more than any presidential candidate in American history." The campaign says it has now hit the signature requirement in 42 states representing 480 electoral votes.

Meanwhile, watch for Democratic talking heads to decry the bear story as an indicator of Kennedy's un-fitness for high office, while most normal people will find it just plain old funny.

Give me a month to sit down with GOP Senators and RNC leaders and a handful of other folks of my choosing to vet an executive cabinet and I think I could do as good a job or better than most presidential candidates. Winning the support of the people would be the hardest thing to do. That takes some charisma even with the machine working for you. Setting aside that very important part, I could do just as good of a job as most of the goons we see trotted out in front of the microphone.
