I swear I was in the man cave, smoking an H. Upmann Connoisseur B, celebrating the Dodgers victory...
The victory was especially sweet, taking it from the hated Yankees in five games, watching them fold like Little Leaguers
The Dodgers winning the WS was definitely a welcome mending of broken hearts caused by years of frustration due to nefarious cheats, untimely flameouts by star pitchers, bats going cold up and down the lineup, opposition that played beyond their abilities, opposition that was better and head scratching decisions.
Finally, the Dodgers are champions once again.
I don't understand the destructive and senseless mob mentality that results when a city's team wins a championship. It's happened here before, after the last couple of Lakers Finals victories.
My motto regarding championships has been what my high school football coach told us after we won the Southern League title: "act like you've been here before."
