No pic yet of Benji, he hasn't been posted on the adoption page yet. Hes a 2.5 year old 60 lb brindle.

Once posted, I'd love to see it. The discription sounds like our third greyhound, Buckner.

That boy was bursting with personality. We were robbed of our most joyous grey by bone cancer when he was 5. Feel a little sick (even now) when I think on it.

Minute and minute shouldn't be spelled the same.
I'm not content with this content.
I object to that object over there.
Sometimes I need to read what I read again.
Excuse me? There is no excuse for this!

You don't need to bait veggies, they can't run away.

Yesterday we didn't have chit on the schedule for today. So slow they were talking about letting one team just stay home today. At 0900 they said they're keeping everyone until lunch since a device rep was buying pizza and then we'd go home. By 10am we had several add-on cases to do. By 11am those got delayed because of emergency cases. By 1pm we started to get breaks for lunch. I had to leave at 4 for family birthday party but those that remain are gonna be there till 8-9pm easy with how much work was left to do.

McDonald's makes a fine cup of coffee. Their purchaser (it's a shell corp) also sells the beans to their competitors in that market and craft roasters. They are the 2nd largest private landowner in the world. I wouldn't be surprised if they're tied to our smokes in some way, honestly.

Wife told me right after I got up this morning "we're completely out of meat" I had to check the freezer myself and sure enough, just one chunk of brisket and one ham steak in the milk crate where I keep my meat.

Had to go get kerosene and propane so I checked sales ads for the grocery stores in the area. Ground beef was "on sale" for $6/lb at one store, $3/lb at another, and $4/lb at the third. So I went for the $3 place. All sold out. But had tenderloins and butts and chickens on sale so I got some of that stuff. Went to the $4 spot and tried to check out with 20lbs of ground beef but the cashier says it's limit 10lbs anything over I gotta pay $7.50/lb. I asked if it could just be split across two receipts. She says no. So I put it back and while doing that I saw chuck roasts were $4/lb with no limit so I got 10 lbs ground beef and 15 lbs of chuck roasts to grind myself.

Bought 60 some lbs of meat today.

Threw a dozen chicken thighs and two pork butts in the smoker. I'll portion those when done and freeze them.

While I'm at it I think I'll brave the Saturday crowds and pick up a brisket from Costco. But I'll wait till the end of the day closer to closing time when they're not as busy. It's still bad, but not as bad as mid day when you gotta make several laps around the lot just to find a parking spot.
