Jakethesnake said he is having a baby...well, his wife will actually give birth. They both are looking forward to the arrival of their family's new addition on February 15, 2025. Congrats to thesnakes.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, let's do a Baby Contest! I will offer a coveted prize: a "decent fiver" to the Cbidder who guesses the length and weight of the baby.

The guesses should be done by adding the inches of the baby's length to the weight of the baby, in ounces. For example, if the baby is 18.5 inches and 6 pounds at birth the guess will be: 18.5 + 96 (6 x 16) = 114.5. This is just an example, to illustrate the process, and not an actual guess.

Each player is limited to one guess only. Guesses made before the baby's arrival will be counted.

To settle possible ties, please include your guess of the actual date and time of day that the baby is born.

Further, said baby will be a girl who shall hence be named Jakelynn the Snakeling.

And I'm referring to the opening round of Price is Right where the group bids on an item and whomever is closest without going over gets to be a contestant. There was a fairly regularly used strategy where a bidder would guess $1 more than the previous bidder, effectively eliminating the original guess.
