I should probably get some chickens. Fresh eggs are da best.

I have plenty of room for them and taking care of them isn't a problem, but I hate how frankin noisy they are. So annoying.

Thought about keeping them a little further from the house, but then I read that the further you put them from your main house area the higher probability wild animals will try to get them.

Many many threads about raising chickens on here...

All came to the same conclusion...

Chickens are a pain in the ass...
And it's cheaper to just buy ur eggs...

But eggs were $2-3 bucks a dozen then...
Not $7-8 bucks like now...

ALDI'S HAD ONE DOZEN LARGE EGGS FOR

Update...they were in a "reefer trailer" parked at a egg co.?

Or at a wholesaler?

Or at transit hub?

But I think they just hitched up and took the trailer?

Unloading a semi-trailer of eggs would:
A. Take a lot of time
B. Cameras everywhere would attract attention...
C. Stealing a whole trailer is a no brainer due to
#A & #B

Spring is coming. I typically buy a half-gross of unsexed hatchlings and start the culling based on social behavior at pullet. Pullet makes for a tender dinner and they freeze well after dry curing a day. No need to pluck a pullet either, no subcutaneous fat yet. Just deglove that dirty bird.

No birds this year, I live on the 'skirts of FARMington, NM. My neighbors do all the dirty work and feeding. I end up paying only 50 cents more a 1.5 dozen for eggs and about a $1.50 a bird, over my ag cost. That's a screaming deal to get chores done.

I've got a small framed body builder I work with that eats 5 dozen eggs a week. We are building him a coup this Saturday. I think he's after my reserve cigars. But he's cool af and active at work so; light em up! Herf 'n' cluck? Cluck 'n' herf?
