Had a back carrier full too..

Had to unload and remove carrier...
All the stuff on side of road...

Front tires showing steel bands
Bad ball joints
Flat tire on rear...

Had to buy 4 new tires
$683 at jack williams tires

Went from a possible $150-200 money making day...too a $683 money losing day...
Still gotta go back up and get carrier then reload all the crap...i hope a nosey cop doesn't stop...

24 hour update..

Care rides and drives like a dream....

Drove back up to get my hitch carrier and boxes of MERCH on side of highway covered with light tan tarp weighted down with heavy roadside trash...

I get there 3 hours later...
On the way up a steel set ip table flew off my roof!!
Almost caused and accident...

I will say one thing...
my USAA roadside assistance extra premium on my auto insurance. Really worked well...paid $0 for the tow , great driver, came very fast...

The first good thing I have to say about USAA IN YEARS...
IF YOU ADD UP THE 6? YRS I've had that after I dropped TRIPLE AAA
THEN in reality I'm sure that adds up to $150-200 at least...

I have TWO MORE hitch carriers at my cabin to replace the stolen one which is good too..😁

I don't need any help at all...

My neighbor "Nick" gave me that hitch carrier for FREE about 5 years ago...
He hand made it and welded everything himself...
It has a $200 value if sold...
ALL OF THE MERCH I FOUND FOR FREE IN THE TRASH OR DUMPSTERS..
I DID BUY ABOUT $30 OF THAT stolen merch ( at the metal recycling yard)but that is no big deal...
I found two whole train sets for free, found a big box of fish pond supplies free, 75' extension cord, massive steal circle loop for towing,
5 power tools in a house clean out trash pile...etc. etc..
I cleaned it up and sorted all of it but I had no other monetary investment in it...all combines had a $250 resale value...

Sooo in truth..I only lost $30 bucks that I spent but much more in potential resale $$$

Oh well...

I haven't run a flea market in decades. After one trip to Elephant's Trunk in western CT I had enough. Loading up the night before, heading out at 4 AM to be sure we got a space. Repacking the unsold stuff in the mid afternoon and unloading exhausted at home. At least I made some money and got rid of several boxes of National Geographics.

I love visiting flea mkts as a fun time and a customer...

Selling at a flea mkt is a lot of work...really...
A lot of work...if I didn't need the income...I wouldn't...
Yard sales are much easier...much much easier...

No gas $$, no space fees, you can use ur own bathroom and eat for free,
Drink ice water, soda or BEERS AT WILL with no Johnny law dogs busting u for public drinking and a police citation all because of the flea mkt narcs that dime u out to the flea mkt employees...

I have given up on yard sales too. Setting up and breaking down was a lot of work and my neighbors have bad backs just like me.
