1:35 a.m.

Woke up with a pair of tortuous hamstring cramps.

The yell scare the shiite out of the wife.

Have a nice day, fellas.

The best and worst part, was my kid was in the next room.

The plus side, he's so into health and fitness, I sheepishly knocked on the door and told him what happened.

He patiently took me to the kitchen, and made a mixture of honey and salt to eat slowly with a large glass of water in support. Also was served a very specific amount of Pom juice.

Then, because awkward is one of the things I do best, I offered him this reassurance....

He nodded his head when I asked him if he heard my yell/scream.

Thank you for the help son. I knew you'd know what to do. And it was due to the crumps. I wasn't... um.. in congress with your mother when you heard those sounds. I make different sounds.

He looked down, hoping to find a button nearby to making him immediately invisible. Short off that, he just said. Okay dad. Good night.

Oh that is a great story. =d> =d> =d>

Muscle spasms can inflict severs pain, like I need to tell you. My wife and I are prone to them. Recently, I was taking Bactrim, a sulfa drug and found out that one of the side effects is muscle spasms. Even my hands were locking up. They quit after finishing the perscription. Electrolyte replacement seems to help, and homeopathic leg cramp pills. (I am very dubious of homeopathic medicine, but these pills appear to work, be analgesic of placebo.)

He said that little bit og honey and salt along with water contains all the important stuff your body needs without all the crap that is in Gatorade.

The cost of the salt and honey combo is probably a nickle, vs $3 for a bottle of Gatorade.

Happy Saturday fellas

Cold and very windy today. Froze doing my Saturday morning chores.

Got out to the post office to drop some stuff off, ran to the store to use my $25 turkey gift card I got from work at Christmas time and expires in 4 days.

Took the boy out for a lil drive to blow the cobwebs outta my project truck. Still undecided on what I'm going to do with it. Can be a functional beater for the boy's first car, can pull and re ring/replace bearings in the stock engine in the garage and make it a nice beater. Doesn't need much bodywork, there's only one rust spot but it's gonna require cutting a panel from the junkyard and welding in a patch. Or do what I've always wanted to do with it and swap in a LS V8 which requires I buy a donor vehicle for all the things.

Ok gents. Maybe I'm grasping at straws, but feel I have very few options to exercise at this point. In a plans for the weekend expectations vs reality standpoint, reality sucks balls

Pops has reacted very badly to what was supposed to be a simple procedure. On the incredibly bright side, we've gone from yesterday's get here as soon as possible, to today critical but stable. On the down side, we're stuck at critical but stable. I'm trying to keep focused on the incredibly bright side

So, I will gratefully take any thoughts, prayers, vibes, voodoo rituals, rain dances, and friendly waves you all have to give
