What are your favorites.i

First of all both Ashton and AVO seem to be pretty popular brands. I tried a few from both brands early on in my cigar journey. So long ago I can't even tell you which AVO it was, but I didn't care for it and can't remember why. As for Ashton- similar but I did like the ESG and Cabinet. Not so much the VSG or Maduro. Maybe I should explore the brands more. Especially with more years of smoking cigars, maybe my preference has changed.

Haven't smoked either in several years, mainly because I think they are both significantly overpriced- particularly Ashtons.

Don't care for Avo but at one time I did. Generally they improve after a year of rest. I have some, I burn them as yard gars.

Ashton I always keep VSG around when I can get em for $10 or less. Symmetry is great too. I've not had much else from them in recent years. I feel the brand is overall overpriced for what you get.

Yes to VSG. Although, I think they are a bit overpriced and never on sale.

AVO MADURO ROCKS!

I'll spring for Ashton Classic magnum/double magnum (my fave Connie), Ashton Aged Maduro, VSG and occasionally the ESG robusto

For me, the AVO Nicaragua is pretty good. For Ashton either the VSG or Maduro. If VSGs can be had for $10, that's a steal. $14 is the best price I see in a B&M.

IMO these are two of the better brands out there with AVO presenting better value. I was a little surprised by the mixed reviews for AVO. Ashton’s are great but rarely discounted (if ever) on CB. Both of these are fairly well made as well. Just had a room 101 Farce which I liked the taste of but was not impressed with the construction.
