MEEEEEEHHHHHH

IF IT WOULDA' BEEN A .308 IT WOULDA' GOTTEN BOUGHT...

SAVAGE AXIS W/ SCOPE PKG. CANT EVEN COMPARE TO THE BOLT ACTION SMOOTHNESS OF THE MOSSBURG PATRIOT...
( IT IS A LONG MOVEMENT THOUGH, MAY HAVE TO LIFT YOUR HEAD RATHER THAN KEEPING ON TARGET THROUGH SCOPE)

I have a Savage Axis w/scope. It's ok, but no Remington...

I bought it for 100 bucks cash, in a private sale, years ago.

The savage AXIS is a decent gun for $400...
The bolt action is a little stiff or awkward?

The MOSSBURG PATRIOT bolt is smoother but maybe a little longer ( as stated above)

If you only paid $100?
You got a steal !!!

Did the guy get a D.U.I. and had to empty his hut of guns and ammo for
12 months?
Or was he just a friend who needed money?

80 % of the guns I sold...
I regretted...
The other 20% ... I was glad to get rid of...
Dan Wesson .357 revolver that spit lead out the side, timing issues..
Several .22's I beat to hell, several single shot shot guns I didn't need..etc..

I regret selling a RUGER BLACKHAWK .357 REVOLVER AND MY DAD'S
REMINGTON 760 PUMP .30-06...an Ithica semi automatic 12 GA. That jammed a lot...
I HAD TO pay school taxes on a house I wasn't living in during my divorce and I was broke...

My brother sold it to me. He has a lot of rifles and wanted to get rid of it. I bought it for a backup.

Sometimes I use that Remington 760 "Gamemaster" that you mentioned.

It was my great grandfathers gun. Only has 5 digits in the serial number.

Other times I take the Savage.

Those Remington "Gamemasters" are awesome...
I was a fool to sell it...
You could keep "on sight" while chambering a new
Round...no re-seeking the target...
I did keep his Remington .35 pump deer rifle, it was his that he inherited from my mom's father...
Then the pandemic hit and no ( normal priced )ammo available for it for
3 + yrs...2 yrs ago they wanted $79 bucks for a box of 20...
Highway robbery, I used my Remington bolt action .223 with hunting loads for two yrs...( people would mock me out for using that...)
"That cant kill a deer..."...
Then i'd say " tell that to 100k ++ NVA TROOPS AND 200K ++VIET CONG REGULARS taking dirt naps YOU DUMB FUUUUUUK..."

Lol! Yeah a .223 will do the job.

I know a guy that hunts with a 5.56 AR-15.

5.56/.223 are pretty much the same round.
