How long should I rest CB cigars when I get them. I am often getting bitter tasting cigars even after resting a couple weeks in my humidor. Anyone else have this issue?

Depends on the quality of the cigar.
Cbid sells a lot of crap these days.
My general rule is a week of rest for every travel day, minimum.
After that, I might smoke one to get a baseline, but most stuff sits for at least 6+months, some for years (ie Jaime Garcia)

Most of what I purchase are legacy brands so the quality should be there. I think they must severely over humidify before shipping. I get bitter no matter the brand. I guess the answer is months of humidor time. Not sure if the little bit of discount is worth the hassle.
