overbidding? why would anyone do that? At least nothing liek that goes on around here.

Have you veterans explained how someone can quickly determine if they are overbidding?

I dont get sucked into bidding wars. I check the daily closing auctions & bid a little before it ends if its still a good price. If its a really good price I will auto bid in case someone throws a bid under what I will pay maximum. If I dont get it,so what! there are so many auctions, I'll find something of value later. Only YOU can make yourself overbid,nobody else.

One other thing. If you have a great selection already(like I do) you dont panic if you dont win an action. You can be patient.
