I was blown away when I went throught the lots today. I haven't even bothered for quite some time because I was displeased with the selection and average winning bids. But when I looked today I found a lot of the cigars that we were begging for as well as ones that no one asked for but everyone wants.

THL - I wasn't kissing ass, I was pissed for quite a while that the selection sucked and the small amount of good lots were getting bid up beyond reason. I was happy that there was finally some new good stuff to bid on. If you don't believe me then read the archives and you can kiss my ass!

Just kidding, your observation is valid. The "you'll go far" refers to the tendency of "kiss-asses" to advance up the company ladder. At meetings in my in my office whenever anyone agrees with our mgr you'll hear smooching noises and sneezes thinly disguising "bullsh*t" and "kiss-ass." We find it very amusing and even our mgr has to laugh. Yes, we are very immature. Actually, 3 of us are Viet Nam vets and we are the most immature.

I guess I was a little more sauced last night than I thought!! Sorry to misconstrue your humor. The first time I replied I thought you had wriiten kick-ass, and in that context I had no idea what "you'll go far" was referring to. Then I got home from boozing it up and re-read the post and my reaction was hilarious to say the least.
