My boss snapped it. I have a neoprene case for my camera (form fitting with cutouts for flash, lens, controls, etc).........I think maybe he pushed it over the flash or something.
This dude crashed a squid lure behind a boone bird and foul-hooked low between the pectorals......which made it feel like about 200 pounds when he layed over and began to circle.
I started getting pretty tired and wanted to inch up the drag........glad I didn't; probably would have ripped out the hook.
I woofed about 1/2 pound of raw meat right on the boat but this fish is currently iced down and will be shipped overnight, vacuum packed on Monday along with some fluke and a bunch of freshly shucked scallops.
