Has anyone tried La Finca Bolivar ...........I tried one and the burn was very uneven, and hard to keep lit. It was stored for 1 month under ideal conditions. Any other experience with this smoke?

I have often smoked LaFincas as an "everyday" smoke, while doing something in the yard or goofing around! They are not the best, but actually for the price it is a nice Medium bodied cigar! I have some 6.12 x 52's that came in an Ammo box as a special promotion and the longer they humidify the more improved they become! This is no CAO or LaGloria, but they are not bad for the price!

They are much better than the Wolf and some of his friends, but they are the cigars I give to the friend who "Just loves cigars", but doesn't know the first damn thing about one!

I feel a need to chime in here because I have been a big
promoter of La Finca's. I believe they are a terribly underrated cigar. The look and construction are absolutely top-notch. They are medium bodied and have that sweet tasty flavor of a good Nicaraguan that I really enjoy!
The key to La Finca's is that you can't smoke them right out of the box. They need a little nap in the ol' humidor for a few weeks or so and then they start getting good and improve from there. I haven't smoked the Bolivars but have smoked and enjoyed many other of the La Finca line.

What the captain said. Let them nap for a long time, and you will be rewarded for your patience. Great smoke at a great price.

Thanks to the generous bombing of my humidors, I can let the La Fincas nap for quite a long time!! I will do so and see if they are as good as Barry and Fudgie commented!!! I agree that they are a beautiful cigar and that may be part of the reason I underrated them!

I hear wind chimes. Have to agree with those who like these cigars. They're one of my favorite cheap smokes. I've been smoking them for the past 8 - 9 years and have had no real disappointments.

For the board: I have a box (billed as a humidor) filled with 70 of these cigars in a closet for the past 6 months. Should I open them up and place a humidifying device into the box or will they be okay until I start smoking them (breaking the seal)?
