any of you guys had the oasis? the guy at the cigar shoppe i go to said they only come out once a year in the blue silk wrapper. let me know if he is full of it?

never had one so i bought one to try....he said i will kick my a$$ too.

It is a very good cigar but it won't kick your a$$. Medium bodied, well constructed with a taste of sweet cocoa. Highly recommended.

Bought a box of them many months ago. Not my flavor profile. Traded most of them away. Great looking cigar and very well made, and if you like em, you'll love em.

Eleltea, I did a back to back comparison of the torp with the La Perla Black Pearl. I'll take the La Perla over the Oliva "O" anyday. A more roasted coffee flavor presence that is more to my liking. What's your thought on those?

They've got boxes of the 'Ole' Maduro at CI right now, for a really good price. It's the only size (and I think the best) that they have right now. They've even got 5-packs!!!

They don't come out once a year, but whenever they are ready to sell. Both the 'light' and the 'dark' have 5 year aged sun-grown wrappers.

Since CI didn't have them at the time, I ordered them from another source ... who also happened to be out of them, so they put me on backorder. That was about three or four months ago, and they just showed up day before yesterday.

I had forgot all about them, and got a very pleasant Christmas surprise ...

I love them ... but the Oasis 'O' maduro's I just got need a little 'humi-time', as they came really damp. When I put them in my 150 capacity humidor ... you should have seen the needle go up on the hygrometer!
