Here is the autographed photo I got of JLH many years ago ...

... I think he dropped his cigar ... LOL!

Slim, I am a major big time blues fan and I have an autographed Blues Festival Program signed by the great Willie Dixon!!! BB King, Willie Dixon, John Lee Hooker, Bo Diddily, Muddy Waters, and Elvis Presley are all from Mississippi! There are many more but do not have time to post them right now, and being exposed to all of that talent and all I can play is a damn stereo!!!

LOL

Charlie

Johnnie Lee and Canned Heat...

One of the great combos of all time!

All I gotta say is:

"Boom boom boom boom!"

Very cool Slim!...Even better story that goes with it!

... he loved to drink, but unfortunately, it was also during his 'herion' days. He seemed to have a problem back then where he just couldn't perform without it ...

... the reason I was there before they opened, was I helped a friend of mine who was in the 'starting band' that night at the club ... as a 'roadie' ...

It was an interesting experience ...

Once saw John Lee set in with a Blues band at Grant and Green's Saloon in San Francisco!

Boogie Chillun'!

Funny, I'm listening to JLH right now. Great tunes!!

"One Bourbon, one Scotch, One Beer"...
