I have several cigars I really enjoy but some of them you have to keep tokin on to keep it going. I drive a 18 wheeler and sometimes it is not in the best intrest of public safety for me to be trying to relight a gar in heavy traffic, Also can't stand the smell of my beard on fire.Any suggestions as to a good gar that will stay lit?

sounds like your smokes need some time in the dry box. They sound like they're over-humidified

I can sympathize with the burning beard, been there, done that. Sounds like your smokes are a little too humid. Maybe dry box them for a couple of days before smoking. You could always do like Rickamaven and just keep them in your glove compartment. They'll be nice and dry then LOL.

if you don't draw on a cigar it is going to go out. cigarettes have a chemicla in them that keeps them lit so you can kill yourself by falling asleep in bed.

i never heard of a cigar smoker that did that.

george burns used to smoke el producto queens on stage. they stay light and put out a lot of smoke and that was the effedct he wanted on stage.

arkie, I am sympathizing with your problem, and as I was reading the string of posts, and finally read your last one, the cigar I am having difficulty with is the Hoja de Nicaragua too. Only my problem is not that it isn't staying lit, it's that no matter how hard I draw on it, I get very little smoke. The foot seems to be puttin out a normal amount but I can seem to get much when I draw on it. Do you all think this is an over-humidified cigar, or did I get my money's worth?

Hey Rick. I heard that George Burns smoked Phillies. Rush Limbaugh said it a while back so it must be true.

Seems like fatter cigars stay lit longer. Recently smoked a Perdomo Reserve that stayed after being left alone for at least 5 minutes. It'd been in the humidor since August so it was properly humidified. That particular cigar (Perdomo Reserve) is one of those cigars shaped so it's narrower at the foot where you first light it--makes it easier to get an even light.

If you haven't tried them 5-packs available here on Cbid and it's a real good smoke.

Mr.Mean, I'll take your advice. They're in my dog rocket drawer now. When they smoke they're flavorfull, good tasting.

what was George Burn's quote: " If I ever spent $20 on
a cigar I would make love to it and then smoke it."
