Unfortunately, our beloved Packers have driven a stake through the collective hearts of an entire state. The coaching staff was obviously ill-prepared and completely unmotivated to work this past week. We would expect the offesive coordinator and the special teams coach to be on the first train out today. How many times have you seen a blocker pushed into to the punt returner, causing a muffed punt??? It happened to the Packers....two weeks in a row. My apologies to you all for posting this rambling conglomeration disjointed thoughts, but I look on it as "therapy". Give the Falcons credit, they certainly earned it. Good luck to the remaining teams. Oh yeah, Mag, I won the auction for the Padron 5000s, they should be here soon. Send me your address and I will send the cigars when I get them.

P.S. There is always next year!!!!!...LOL

Why do the coaches always get the blame? It's the players out there, making millions of dollars, who screw everything up.

Would you call a slow developing run play on 4th and goal from the 5?

I believe the leadership must shoulder most of the responsibility for this disaster. The Packers played very, very conservative. The defense was not rushing the passer, the play calling was poor all year. The special teams were as bad as any I have ever seen. To have the same mistakes committed every week is definately a coaching problem. The team I saw yesterday reminded me of the "Ray Rhodes" team we had a few years ago. I think Mike Sherman is a good coach, now he must make some tough "General Manager" decisions.

Yawn, yawn, yawn!!!

Who really cares anyways??? Must not be much to do in Wisconsin === I was going to say "except eat cheese" but I believe California produces more of the stuff now than W does?

You are correct, there isn't much else to do in Wisconsin.

I'd rather drink beer, eat cheese and make snow angels in Wisconsin than drink umbrella drinks, eat sushi, and pay most of my hard earned wages to the California tax system.LOL

X likes sushi. Reminds him of his early days at the Fox.

you mean that dumb ass call on 4th down? it is a play action call. it has options, it has possibilities, it might work.

one guy getting through and the run is dead as we saw.

i guess imho. wow that felt good to type. i never did that before. i feel so vulnerable.

The Falcons were tackling well on run defence. Favre in my opinion should have faked a hand off for a run and passed! Just my opinion.

Rick and Mag,

I agree, I would have called a rollout with the option to run or pass, but that is me. I have sent in my resume' for the offensive coordinator position to the Packer offices on Lombardi Avenue, but I don't think I will get much consideration....lol.

I agree that the coaching seemed lackluster. But I wouldn't put it all on the coaching staff. The entire team looked like zombies on the field. It looked like they had no desire to win.

Of course lets not forget all the injuries that key players had. I think everyone got caught up in the Lambeau legends and thought they would win just because they were playing at home.
