Question, not that I expect answer just curious. Why most big name cuban brands that were "ported" over to Dominicam or other non cuban areas are good but the DR cohiba I reallllllly am not a fan of in general

Not sure this will actually answer your question but a little background info for ya. Most of the name brands that were first in Cuba but now also have NC counterparts are the product of the people that fled Cuba and then sold those names for cash. That is also a big reason why you cant find a NC Montecristo or any of the others anywhere but the US. The Cuban government still owns the actual international rights to all those names but the good ole US doesnt recognize it.

But if it is a question about why you don't enjoy the DR cohiba even though you enjoy the other brands that originated in cuba but are now expats. Well I believe that is something you will have to answer for us. For me one of the things I don't like about the DR cohiba is the ridiculous price tag.

But another problem could have been that you got one of the infamously bad yellow band cohibas.
