I am confessed diehard bargain hunter and my budget does not allow me to smoke the likes of Bucaneros which is why I am so drawn to cbid. Here are a few notes on some cigars i've smoked lately in my quest for the ultimate bargain stogie.
Diesel Corrosion - I'm glad I didn't try these on a empty stomach! These are a pretty potent smoke that you feel in the pit of your stomach. They're probably the slowest burning stogies I have ever had. The basic flavor is pretty decent but it is accompanied by a bit of harshness that I assume will be tempered with some time spent in the coolerador.
Regalos Churchil Maduro - If you like the Diesels but don't want to wait for the transformation than these should be up your alley. They're not quite as strong but still fairly full bodied. They are smooth with no harshness and actually quite tastier than the Diesels.
Cubano a Mano - Your prototypical Canine Cruise Missile!
This cigar now has the dubious distinction of being the worst cigar I have ever gotten on cbid. YUCK!!!
Miami-Havana Robusto - This cigar held its ash all the way to the band but that's the good news. It was medium bodied and smooth with some decent flavor that was accompaned by a underlying off-flavor and a very dry finish that kept it from being classified as enjoyable. It wasn't bad enough to qualify for the ol' overhand toss but it came close.
I hope you will excuse my longwindedness but the temerature in Jersey this morning was in single digits and I am quite bored.
