I enjoyed the few I've smoked. They seem a bit on the mild to medium bodied side, but they burned even for me and tasted pretty good. I still like the Cedro Deluxe No. 2 better though.

RyJs IMHO are a nice premium smoke. Mild to medium with some nice flavors. I lean towards a "fuller" smoke but I still keep some RyJs in the dor for the morning/afternoon. They used to be a regular for me and I have smoked many. I found them to be very consistant in flavor and construction. Hope it helps.

The Cubans are excellent but often counterfeited. As for the Dominican RyJ cigars; these are the most over rated, flavorless cigars I have ever smoked and are not worth more than $4 a stick, if that. I rank Dominican RyJ right up there with Don Thomas if you catch my drift…

I have tried the Churchill and although it was well constructed and with mild to medium flavor I still prefer the Vintage #5. It's more costly but if you're patient you can find a 5 pack offered here on occasion and usually for a reasonable bid. Give em a try and let us know what you think.

wanyburger, ouch! RyJ's are NOT like Don Tomas turds! Aren't you exaggerating a wee bit? Next you're gonna tell us that RyJ's are comparable to Lars or ACID (which I know are your FAVORITES! 😉 What are your regulars?

Hmmm....interesting comparison, RyJ -vs- Don Thomas. I would have never even thought of DTs when trying to describe RyJs. Maybe I should try to smoke more DTs......naaaaa!

These used to be my favorites when I first started smoking premiums and I still like them. They are mild with a bit of sweetness in the wrapper. If you look at the various online retailers, you can find them for less than $70 per box - well below wanyburgers $4 per stick price.

The reason I asked, was that I screwed up (don't ask me how that happened) and accidently bid on three boxes here for $70 each. When I realized my mistake, I tried to 'edit my bid' only to find out that besides being a quickie auction, it was in the last hour of the auction, so I wasn't able to cancel it. After several emails to customer service about my error, this is what I was told ... "I understand your predicament, and am sorry for the confusion however,
deleting bids after an auction is closed is a serious business, because of the effect on other bidders. It is also very difficult for us to intercede in the bidding process. When a lot that is up for auction has closed, stock has been reserved for you, thereby preventing another bidder from winning the lot. Once an auction has ended, if you truly wish to rescind
the bid we reserve the right to charge a 15% re-stocking fee. However, in this case since you have been such a regular on our website, I would like to
propose that we edit your bid to one box instead of three. I feel that this is a fair settlement, considering the impact on both sides. I trust that you understand the difficulty of this matter. In any case just let me know what you would like to do". So, I settled for getting one box instead of three, rather than pay the restocking fee. I learned another lesson here. Make sure that what you are very careful about what you bid on, and it is exactly what you want, and make sure you hit the right button (I meant to hit the clear button)... Oh well, it's sound like I may enjoy them!

I think you made out alright and I am pretty sure you will enjoy the RyJs. At $2.80 per, sounds like you also got a decent deal. They sell in shops for much more, Let us know what you think of them.

Hegemonica, You may be right but unkle bill got my drift. With these cigars you get no go for your dough. $2.8 a piece is good though!!!

These are a decent cigar if the price is right. A little too mild for my taste. The construction is good. The draw is good. They finish well. Not in my top ten, but I like 'em.
