BMW, did you know there are a couple of viable, breeding, wild colonies of Quakers in the U.S.? One is in Chicago's Grant Park and has been thriving for 15 years. It seems that they are so loud that often owners will just release them when they can't take the noise anymore. If you're breeding them you certainly know how loud they can be.

THL, type a little louder I couldn't hear you. LOL

I teach all mine to talk, then I don't have to listen to them squawk.

I have a few breeders pairs that are wild caught here in Tx. They're are even illegal in some states because they are afraid of crop damage.

They are a very intelligent little birds and can talk very well. AKA the poor man's talking parrot retails for $125 to $225.

When they misbehave, I tell them that I bet they taste just like chicken and the get right back in line LOL.

I have a Grey and from what I've read they show up on the menu in West Africa frequently. They're considered pests. But tasty pests.

This little guy went to his new home yesterday. He's got a 9 yr.old and 12 yr.old girl to look after him. They were so excited to finally get him home. He has one of the best personalities I've seen in a bird in a long time. I miss him so I hope we get some more soon. That's the tuff part of handraising birds, but it's also very rewarding when you see someone's face lite up.

I KNOW this is not so polite, but if you don't mind, I'm wondering just how much a birdie like this would go for?

I have absolutely no idea on the cost of these beautiful birds.

Your keeping him too humidified. He has green mold starting to cover his body.
