ok i know everyone says 70% for best burn but does having the humidty level higher change the way the cigar tastes???

see all wet or all aboard thread below. My experience is "yes" humidity affects BOTH taste and burn.

Yes, Humidity will affect taste. Whereas a dried out cigar will taste harsh and stale a overhumidified one will burn hotter because the excess moisture turns to steam.

So sorry, somtimes Buckwheat channels through me...

I have to concur with bildo (dude, the pics that your name brings to mind) wholeheartedly...see, I've both over and under humidified to my horror.

Too wet, nasty and have to keep relighting with uneven burns.

Too dry, and you might as well smoke the matchbox...blech!

Just keep a mindful eye on your humi for optimum results...think of it as a newborns incubator...
