Low, I truly love music from the whole spectrum.....even to the point of admitting to Celine!!! My fav is modern rock but Classic Country runs a close second: George Jones, Hank Sr., Johnny esp., Merle, and, sadly, Johnny Paycheck.

Chris, check out the "Kindred Spirits" tribute to Johnny Cash CD. Keb Mo's version of Folsom Prison Blues rocks! If you haven't heard it, Johnny Cash's "American Recordings is one of the best CDs of the last decade. I've also been listening to an amazing blues singer named R.L. Burnside. Check out "I Wish I Was In Heaven Sitting Down". JReddoch

Not much of a country fan here. But Social Distortion did a remake of "Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash. My band plays it and it always seems to go over very well with the crowd both young and old.

Rod Stewart from the 70s singing the standards from the 20s, 30s, and 40s. New CD. Cant remember the title. It Had to be You maybe. The Scottish soccer player grew up loving the standards. Me too.

jred-

I have heard of Taj Mahal, but never listened. Give me some insight... blues? old school R&B?

Keb seems to have a bit of both of these with a touch of gospel... similar?

What have I been listening to????? Hmmmmmmmm Big list.

So far today I have listened to:

Rush (Caress of Steel)

Bela Fleck with Flecktones (3 Flew over the Cuckoos Nest)

Phish Live in Binghamton NY 12/14/95

John Prine (Jesus the missing years)

and currently some Leftover Salmon Live. Don't know the show.

Started with my 5 am Rush Just to get the juices going.

Think I will go with some vintage Grateful Dead next.

Then maybe Mozart to finish the day with.

Mozart is great with a glass of Single Malt and a A.F. Cuban corona.
