Built my first coolerdor and ISO kiln dried Spanish Cedar. Anyone know of a place in San Diego California that sells it cheap? Or does anyone here have some to trade for some smokes?

You may not need to line it. Figure if you're storing boxes, and the boxes are made of cedar, that does the trick! The cedar serves several purposes;

1. It regulates humidity (believe it or not). It is one of the most porous woods. It readily gobbles up humidity in a moist environment, and just as readily pisses out humidity in a dry environment. So it helps smooth humidity swings.

2. It helps deter insects.

3. It helps age cigars and imparts a pleasant flavor and aroma.

So stack and pack it, and you should be fine 😉

If push comes to shove, and you absolutely want to line it, I’d hit a lumberyard. Not a Home Depot, but an actual lumber yard. Find a friend with a table saw, and Viola!

What Robby said. Along with a word of caution and that's be careful of over humidification in your coolerdor. Coolers don't breath like wood humidors. Too much humidity can cause mold problems. Use a hygrometer to keep tabs. X

While paying particular attention to the humidity, you may need to air your cooler out once a month or so to freshen the air so to speak.

For a cheap humidifier for your coolidor, buy several tavel soap dish containers and drill 8 or so holes in them, buy some of the green florist foam (used with live flower not dry flowers) cut a little smaller than the soap dish and fill with distilled water or your 50/50 mix.

Robbies right, if you are storing your cigars iin boxes then you won't need more spanish cedar. As long as the boxes are made of or nostly made of spanish cedar then you are good. I just bought a cooler to store some boxes and put them in yesterday afternoon. When I opened it up to get s cigar out it had that nice cedar odor to it. Man I love cedar!!!
