Getting rady to ship 'gars t the troops and I assume they will take awhile and sit in placs with unpleasent humidity. How about dampening a paper towel with pg:h2o and putting th 'gars in a plastc bag inside another plastic bag with the towel in it? PG should keep humidity about 75% and control mold a bit. Anyone tried this?

The best thing to do ... is get some humi-paks. There are several companies that make these, and they will hold the proper Rh for 30 days to 6 months, depending on the type you get.

The other alternative, is send them in Tupperware containers. As long as the cigars are well humidified to begin with, you shouldn't have to do anything else, as they are air-tight. If you are still concerned, put in one of those Clima-Guard Crystal Humidification
Tubes or one of the similar tubes out there on the market.

Ditto Slim; I sent mine in the large humi-pouch. Holds about 40-50 smokes or more and they should be good for at least 60-90 days. I've found these at really reasonable prices online. I tend to also use these for primo smokes I send in trades. I've also used double bagging in ziplocs with a damp paper towel in the outer ziploc and the inner ziploc sealed. Not sure that makes any difference, but I get peace of mind from it.

Yes, it makes an excellent packing material and works well to keep humidity at a constant level.

Oh no! I find that the desiccating affect of the salt provides that heretofore-unique wrinkled bad frog finish on even the finest cigars.
