I'm going to Myrtle Beach on a 4-day golf trip and I plan on bringing 10-15 cigars along. I don't have a travel humidor, so what's the best way to store these cigars so that they don't dry out?

Thanks......

leave them in the glove compartment, cello off.

or put them in a plastic box that has a sealed top.

Thanks. I didn't think that the ziplock would last four days. I did think about putting it in tupperware, but wasn't sure.

I like the tupperware idea myself. It you want a travel humidifier, take an old plastic 35 mm camera container, wash it out, drill 5 or 6 holes in the lid,
put in some green florist foam (for live flowers - you can get at Walmart cheap)and fill with distilled water. This makes a great and cheap travel humidifier.

Good luck and enjoy the beach!!

I am compelled to help out a fellow golfer on his way to Myrtle Beach. Send me your snailer and I will send you a slightly upscale version of the 35mm film canister with some Climaxx beads. Great travel humidifier.

Where are you playing in Myrtle? Great place for a golf trip.

The idea of the film case with WET florist foam in it is a good one, but the idea of that same case with Climaxxx beads in it is a far better one ... those things are absolutely great and the little travel gizzies you can buy in a local store with a few in will set you back $8-10 bucks ...

Good one, Turnberry ...

Screwed up the last post.

I've been lurking on the boards for the past 3-4 months and I have noticed that people go out of their way to help others.

I want to let everyone know that Turnberry has been generous enough to send me these beads for my trip.

I hope that someday I can return the generousity I have seen on this board.

go to a camping supply store, Bass pro shop, etc. Get a Nalgene bottle. they are lexan (nearly unbreakable plastic) bottles that are used for water on camping trips. Come in all different sizes. I use a one litre bottle, it will hold about 15 cigars depending on the size of the sticks. I just put a sample box of ACID cigars in a bottle (due to that aromatic quality of ACID I didnt want to store them in my other humi's for fear they would impart onto the other sticks in my collection). I got a small plastic container from the drug store, drilled tiny holes in it, cut a chunk of oasis material to fit inside, soaked it in distilled water, and velcro'ed it to the lid (a standard 2 1/4 inch humidifier was too large for the inside of the lid). This works great. If you dont have enough smokes to fill the bottle, put a piece of paper towel down the side to take up space which prevents the sticks from banging around too much. Good luck

have 2 of em Robby, got the deal with the Perdomo's few weeks ago. I love them but for 15 sticks, the Nalgene works great
