Man, this has got to be the worst cigar I've smoked ever!! Picked up a 5-pack, gave one away (lost a good friend 4-sure)then smoked only 1/2 of the first one b/c it tasted like shat, just tried another but had to spit out this terd after pulling out a 3" tree limb from the end. Poorly constructed, sick taste, I'd flush the others away but I'm sure it'd just stain the bowl and waste good water.

Nomad, stop holding back and tell us how you really feel. I've got only one I won in a multi pack - you've peaked my interest and now I'm anxious to give her a try. Glad I've only got one though if you're even half right. This isn't one of those "don't buy it because I want to" things is it?

I just recently tried one of these too, and it was smokable. It wasn't as bad of an experience as yours, but I'll never bid on them again. The worst cigar in the world has got to be Flor del Todo (you get what you pay for, and how).

keep smoking,

I toss my vote to the Lone Wolf as the worst of the worst! Dependable and horrible, what more can I say...........ugh.

Sorry, just had to vent. Anyway, there really are some decent smokes here on cbid(at less than half the price of this terd). And, I've found some really great ones here that I would not have tried otherwise. So, I'm moving on to those... just had to make a "special" note of this one.

Fresh OTT these are harsh. Put about a year on them and these get very smokable. X

How about "the cigar pequenos" by Perdomo? The description reads like a completely different cigar (light/medium body) and the pequenos are a bit cheaper retail.

Choner,

I have had some Flor Del Todo no. 4 maduro aging in my humi for about 3 months, tried one the other day and for the $7.00 a bundle I paid, was very smokable. Did try one when they first arrived and glad I didn't throw away the rest as I was tempted to. Let them rest.

I guess I'm just lucky,
I have been smoking "The Cigar" line for awhile now. So far out of 3 boxes, have another box with 6 mo. on it, I have not had one bad one. I also have traded some other smokes to get more of them. They are my everyday smoke now. I smoke on average 3 cigars a day. Of those 3, 2 are the churchills of the "The Cigar" line.
Just my opinion

I agree. I tried one of "The Cigars" the other day and ended up putting it out and pulling something else out of my humidor. It's a shame cause I really do like Perdomo products but this had an unusual and fowl taste that I just couldn't identify. I really tried smoking this longer to give it a chance to work itself out, but I just couldn't do it. The taste was too nasty.

color me lucky ... I don't think they're the best Perdomo by any means, but have always found them quite smokeable ... nothing in my experience matches your description .... as I say, perhaps I'm just lucky ...

Nomad, Have you tried other Perdomos? I love the Reserve line and the P2 line is very good. The Fresh Rolled Wheels are just that -- "fresh". But they may be pretty good in six months or a year.

efm,
The wheels are good after a little nap. I have some that have been in the Humidor going on 11 months. IMHO they are as good as the reserve line with the rosada wrapper. Can't touch the maddie though.
I love Perdomo cigars

Nomad, I guess yours was better than the one I tried to smoke.
I know call them PerDONTmo's. I gave a review on CA saying "I guess I'd call it EARTHY cuz it tasted like dirt" What an awful, gritty, nasty smoke. Couldnt even get half way thru it. Had to smoke a HDM Dark Sumatra after to get the rank taste out of my mouth.

Had em ...didn't like em..Fresh Rolled Wheels should be put in the same category.

Sounds like you're talking about Fidalgo Negros. The PTC churchill that I had, I rather liked. I did get a bit queasy, but that's just cause it was a bit stronger than what I usually smoke.

I bought a five pack of these quite a while ago, maybe a year. Wasnt impressed with the one I smoked, right when I got them.
After about a year, the next one I smoked was pretty good. I'd let em rest a while.

What Mag said.

A year or so does them good. They are quite smokable. But all tastes run different.
