What's up guys.

Just thought I'd introduce myself to the website. Seems like a real great site with a bunch of super cool guys lookin out for each other when it comes to cigars. Being only 22 and in grad school, cigars are expensive, but Cbid looks like the way to go. I'm very impressed.

Hi there! Yup I can't agree with ya more, this is the best way to start up your collection, unless you can mooch some good starters from friends. I just graduate from grad school, what are you in for?

Welcome, Irish. CBid is indeed one of the more fiscally conservative ways to build your collection. You can try 'em in 5s for not a lot more than you'd pay for a couple at a brick-n-mortar place. Wish CBid would have been around when I was in college. Heck, I wish the Internet would have been around. Come to think of it, I didn't have a computer, either. We were still writing term papers with charred sticks on birch bark.

Welcome. Come on in, pull up a chair, and light up a cigar. C-bid is an awesome place to add to your collection and an even better place to meet GREAT people. I'm sure that you'll enjoy it here. Just be careful not to get caught up in the whole auction atmosphere or you could end up spending too much money 🙂.

Nope, not Rudy, and I'm not even Irish, but I did go to Undergrad at Notre Dame, so I'm glad there aren't too many ND haters out there in Cbid land. I'm at Virginia now and I hope to either teach when I'm done or get some other job to pay for this stogie habit I'm developing. I'm actually hoping to grab one of those humi auctions ending today. Then, I'll stock it with a bunch of different 5-packs. We'll see.

Hello, IrishGrad ... if you DO get caught up in the auction atmosphere and spend too much, you won't be the first ... LOL ...

and, I know what you're thinking ... cello on or cello off? ... either way you go, there's some here who'll agree with you and some who won't ... there IS fairly widespread agreement, however, that if you elect to go with the "cello on" option, that it's a good idea to remove it before lighting the cigar.
