In this Jamison Stone, 11, poses with a wild pig he killed near Delta, Ala., May 3, 2007. Stone's father says the hog weighed a staggering 1,051 pounds and measured 9-feet-4 from the tip of its snout to the base of its tail. If claims of the animal's size are true, it would be larger than ``Hogzilla,'' the huge hog killed in Georgia in 2004.

I find it strange that an 11 y/o would have the balls to stand there and with one shot, kill a charging Monster . . .

This monster could have had Jamison for lunch. Great computer enhancement?

Me too, I figured Dad was right behind him with a long gun. Cool dad, letting the kid do the shooting.

It wasn't a one-shot kill Jet.

----

He said he shot the huge animal eight times with a .50-caliber revolver and chased it for three hours through hilly woods before finishing it off with a point-blank shot.

Through it all there was the fear that the animal would turn and charge them, as wild boars have a reputation of doing.

"I was a little bit scared, a little bit excited," said Jamison, who just finished the sixth grade on the honor roll at Christian Heritage Academy, a small, private school.

His father said that, just to be extra safe, he and the guides had high-powered rifles aimed and ready to fire in case the beast with 5-inch tusks decided to charge.

Nah, Hogzilla II actually had some redeeming qualities. Like 600+ pounds of sausage.

A black and white version of the same picture and a full article was in my local paper yesterday. The story has some credibility. National Geographic located the remains of the original Hogzilla. They estimated his size and weight at 8 ft and 800 pounds. Amazing.

I read this article in the Fort Worth Star Telegram yesterday. This is a true story, I saw it on something other than the internet.

The internet sure has ruined people to believe anything that is out of the ordinary. This is a true, well documented story tht has appeared on national news programs. We have Shaq, they have a mutant pig. There are anomolies in all of the animal kingdom.

Amazing story. I'd hate to be the taxidermist on this one...

Any of you gun enthusiasts recognize the revolver in his hands? Is it real? Silver cylinder and silver tipped barrel reminds me of the neighbors toy, but I'm not that familiar with revolvers.
