I remember not long ago Padron cigars were part of the brands offered in the website. But haven't seen any for the last few months. Where did they go to ?

Hoard what you got bro, they ain't coming back.

Problem with premium Padrons, not worth what they want, but worth scarfing them up at a fair price... even though still expensive at that fair price.

Only Padrons I've bought since then was a handful of 2000 maduros from a B&M (Fair price imo).

I'm guessing that in the next few months / years, either MAP enforcement will slacken or some brave auction site will test the waters and get away with putting them back on auction at less than MAP...then happy days will be back again. Herfing

Well... when the big retailers like Cbid stop buying them because of that... how does THAT help the value?

It's price fixing plain and simple if you tell retailers they can't go any lower then a certain price point. Apple, Nintendo, Sony have been doing it with consumer electronics for decades.

Happens across all industries, basically only the big fish can get away with it.

The reason is, they just say, "sell our products at the price we tell you or we won't sell to you any more".

If the brand is big enough and is worth putting up with those terms in order to keep buying the products, the MAP is enforced.

If not, well, the company probably wasn't as big as they thought they were.
