Cohiba Robustos. I like the 46 gauge maddie padrons the best, and the naturals have a unique flavor (I have many friends who don't care for them). Try a maddie churchill. Be careful about smoking Anniversary Maduros. You won't want your other smokes for a while. 🙂

Don't care much for Cohiba. I'm more into Partagas and R&J. Used to smoke a lot of Jose Piedras for 4 buck, but since the taxes went up here, they're now 9 bucks. Just doesn't make sense anymore. I know I can get a better stick for 9 bucks south of the boarder as long as I don't pay duty. I've been lucky.

You won't find it. I guess you could liken this to differences in soft drinks. Diferent Cubans are like Coke and Pepsi where non Cubbies are like 7up and Sprite. The closest I've found to the twang is Camacho Havanas.

The best I've had so far is the Indian Tobac Super Feurte. It didn't come close, but it's come the closest.

Was recommended La perla Habana, so I've got a bid on some of those I think I might win. I really want to try the La Gloria Cubana series R line. Will go for some of those in a few weeks.

You're right, back to the top lol. Then again, sometimes cubans don't taste like cubans. If you live in havana, would you be trying to search the island for a cigar that tastes like a Partagas #4. They are all different to an extent, and all that matters is that you not only enjoy the cigar, but enjoy your time smoking it.

My sister only likes Ben and Jerrys Vanilla Ice cream. Don't know what made me think of that. I'm going to go and bid on some Phillies Blunts now lol

rwestcot - Point well made. Phillies Blunts.., I'm assuming that's like King Edwards Blunts. Was gifted a 5 pack of the Kings 18 mo ago. First one I had at the party. It was so terrible that I had to have a good smoke when I got home and strait wisky to get rid of the taste. Funny, I put them in the humi out of habit; they were in there for 7 or 8 mo before I took them out to hand out at a BBQ to moochers. As the night progressed and I ran out of smokes, I smoked the last 2 in the pack back to back, they actually weren't bad. still will never buy.

I went to kick off my weekend with a Perdomo 2 Madie, but it didn't do it for me. So I put it out. I'm very serious about my first Friday night schmoke...

So I dug in to the ploomidoor... A Monte #2 Habano! Man!! With some age on it. There's something "special" about a good habano... When I lit it, it had almost a purfumeie flavor to it? It developed, got more complex. But not overpowering, stayed nice and medium body throughout. Down to the nub... I'm sorry, I'm a BIG fan of dominican, honduran, nic, etc... But there IS just something very special about a good ISOM...

Robby - I could smell that Monte from here, I was wondering what that smell was. After I get the line up from cwilhelmi, I think there's a pretty good chance I'll be influenced into joining the fan club.
