That was never the point.

Comparing one **** to another **** doesn't make the first guy any less of an ****.

Throw Hitler or Stalin into the comparison and suddenly Bush looks better and Moore looks like an angel.

Do we forgive the guy who only commited one murder because there was a guy out there who ten? No. Each stands on his own.
On his own Moore is a lying, fat piece of garbage who made himself rich and famous on the blood of dead American heroes. Period. End of sentance. No need to bring GWB into the conversation.

True - the differences are striking. Bush is a lying, skinny piece of garbage who made his corporate benefactors rich and famous on the blood of dead American heroes.

I guess my point is that we see all sorts of posts all day long here about how Michael Moore is the antichrist and Hillary will bring armageddon. Where is all the outrage about the criminally incompetent guy in the White House? Just trying for a little diversity of opinion here.

Maybe discount cigar site message boards are just a haven for conservatism.

From what I see Bush trashers outnumber Bush supporters and I think the all time low approval rating supports that.

Have you met pmn1 and Rick

There are also some of us who voted not so much FOR Bush as AGAINST his opponent, particularly his most recent opponent ...

GWB is not the president I'd like to have by any means, but he's a damn sight better than we'd have had in Gore or Kerry ...

and those who claim he deliberatly lied to steer us into war are so narrow of mind and vision that there is no hope they can ever hope to gain even a remote understanding of geopolicitacl reality

I have seen their work and have also learned that I have neither the time nor the will to tangle with jpotts (deferential bow).

I guess I just get my dander up when I see people get all hot and bothered about inconsequential things (Michael Moore being an azz) when there are so many more pressing and relevant things to get upset about.

Looks like I got up on the wrong side of the rock this morning.

Actually, guys, I'm just watchin' from the cheap seats on this one. Too preoccupied with pizza flavored beer at the moment.

By the way, as far as WMDs and terrorists, and Bush lies, please remember that a huge majority of what's floating out there in the media can't really be verified. Most of the stuff in dispute is classified, and probably won't be unclassified for another 30 years. So, be wary of anonymous sources, and jouralists that get their information from "unbiased" sources of information like Al Jazera.

Carry on.

You want something substantial to burn your ass?
How about this.

You paid your whole life into Social Security. By the time you are ready to start receiving benefits, the system will be bankrupt and it doesn't matter who the president is.

That burns my ass. But Michael Moore is still a ******.

And, as a slight threadjack, I think bacon-flavored beer would be quite tasty.

Now what kind of idiot would sully the magnificent taste of bacon, the most perfect of food?

How nice of you. And how very clever to dismiss someone with a different opinion than yours rather than disputing the merits of their argument. That is a difficult debating skill and one that validates your point of view completely. Congrats on your mastery of debate!

jpotts - Most of Bush's verifiable lies are excerpted from speeches, public appearances, press conferences, etc. - out in public for all to see, just like Michael Moore's.

That really grinds my gears too, Mikey - and it's even more frustrating that we're talking about freaking gay marriage and Michael Moore and other crap when I am kissing those dollars goodbye every week, and will be for the next 30 years.

jpotts - Combining bacon and beer would be earth shattering. As much as it makes me salivate, I fear that such a substantial development in the history of man could potentially tear the fabric of the space-time continuum. Probably worth the risk though.

A lot of people whine and complain about my big posts because when I cite a quote, it's usually about a paragraph long. I do this to make sure there's a adequate amount of context to reference. Rarely will I use a single sentance quote.

I looked at those websites you (or somebody) referenced. In a genuine debate, the people that put up that garbage wouldn't last 5 minutes. Mochael Moore and Rosie O'Donnel fall right into this category.

You can continue to take what this person or that person claims to be the truth, that's your business. But don't get your panties in a twist when a guy like me comes along and buries you under contradictory information.

Always, always, always look to the contrary view of a subject before judging whether your core belief is correct. My $0.02 worth of advice.

Undoubtedly this will invite to one or more of my detractors to jump in and tell me just how full of sh*t I am.

I wonder how good ham would taste in beer form?

jpotts - I will not dispute the fact that context is key, but please do not pretend that the current administration is not well-practiced in the art of deception and half truths.

On a more important note, I think ham would go better with a hoppier beer, while bacon would be reserved for darker ales.

Here's the question: Would you bid on a cigar described as "full of notes of bacon, with a hoppy finish"???

No ...

I'm happy with tobacco flavored cigars, bacon that tastes like bacon and beer that tastes like beer ... even though I like all three, I would not want to mix their flavors into one another ...
