this will surprise you, but i never liked al gore.

i don't think he had any original ideas, and the change from debate to debate in his demeanor, gave the impression he did not know who he was or is.

and the beard growing at his age was another attempt to be a new al gore. i notice he has shaved the beard.

optimistic, what about allegations of people from mental institutions being given pre filled out ballots? What about the Democratic campain worker from New York who while working in Michigan spoke on election day about giving cartons of cigarettes to homeless people to vote for Gore? There was a woman in Virginia who was given a ballot that already had Gore punched on it (any other choice and it's thrown out as a double vote!) Oops, sorry that must have gotten mixed in! I get sick of hearing all the whining coming from people whose candidate was managed by the son of a man who brought in a very close election between Kennedy and Nixon and long after the election, it was found that many of the voters in the Chicago area that it came down to had been deceased long before the election! If you want to find campaign irregularities, look no further than the DNC. At least the Republicans didn't whine about Kennady having a 'stolen' presidency! At least Nixon had the dececy to resign when he got caught and didn't quibble about what the definition of the word is is! And once again, each recount that was done only INCREASED the margin of victory for Bush! Get over it!

i don't know if this is true or not, but if nixon was impeached and put out of office, wouldn't he lose all the perks given to former presidents, the golden parachute.

nixon, a sort of former neighbor, i live in whittier, had to be screwed into the ground to accommodate his twisted personality. "pat wears a good old republican cloth coat." "the only gift i ever received was this little dog." and the calls to people from his staff that Helen Gahagan Douglas is a communist.

i believe pat drank a lot also. if you were married to a man that walked the beach in a business suit, wouldn't you.

Nixon might have lost the perks, might not have, at least he spared the country the angst of having to impeach him. Too bad the Democrat who committed perjury didn't spare us that. Before you go on about two consenting adults, let me remind you about the missle guidance technology the Clinton administration sold to the PRC, abiout a year or less before the campaign contribution picked up by Gore at that Buddist monestary (it came from WHERE?) I'm reminded of the difficulty of pinning anything on Al Capone, but they were able to prove he had money he hadn't paid taxes on. It may be hard to prove where money came from, or who knew about it, but at least Bill had to be in the same room with Monica to get himself in the jam he did, and then he lied about it, under oath. The one thing I CAN agree with you on is that the republicans in Congress have NO CAJONES!!! They had him nailed to the wall, and could have got him out before he could do anymore damage, and they let him walk! I get tired of hearing about Nixon, and Watergate, like the Democrats don't screw the American People too! All the talk about W. going to bankrupt the Social Security system... WHO controlled Congress for forty years, and raped the Social Security Trust Fund like it was thier own piggy bank? The Democrats! But they like to talk about how crooked the Republicans are. I'll tell you what Rick. Find me anyone who'll spend MILLIONS to get a job that only pays $250,000 a year, and will require more MILLIONS to keep just another four years, and I'll show you either an idiot, or a crook. But that's the system we have. The Democrats want to reform the system, but they want the unions to be exempt from the rules they want to apply to business. SURRRRE! Speaking of perks, Bills charging the federal government enough for housing for his Secret Service detail to make his house payment! at least alot of the republicans are spending alot of thier own money. Whose money are the Dems spending? I'll have to get to the October surprise later, I've already gone on a while, and I mostly can't get further back than ten years.
