I live in Eldersburg, Md. and worked in Gaithersburg for years. How anyone could love that place is beyond me. That whole 270 corridor from Bethesda to Frederick is a major headache. You must love sitting in traffic. Hagerstown is OK though.

THL, I'm out of Damascus. It's pristine/rural country out here. I know what you mean about Gaithersburg but my boys LOVE the parks (Lake Needwood, etc.) & the mall.

Lake Needwood is a beautiful place. It's hard to believe that you're only about 3 minutes from some of the worst traffic anywhere when you're in that park. Real good golf course there too. Damascus is nice as well if you can stay off of Rt. 27. On those days when my last call was in Germantown or Gaithersburg I'd take 27 all the way to Rt. 26 in Carroll Co. If I could hit Damascus before 4:00 PM I had it made, if not, it was a long ride. You probably know this better than me, though.

THL, may I call you "TH"? You're right about route 27! I'm a 1/4 of a mile of Kings Valley. The rustic farms & sweeping hills are truly breathtaking. Where exactly is Eldersburg?
