For a short while I was working in a local hobby/craft store. Selling and servicing the radio controlled airplanes, cars, etc. I loved that. What a blast. Though it only was a very low paying job (in between jobs at the time) so ...I moved on to Purchasing, which I do enjoy when I'm busy. Work at a great place that is fun to come to everyday! That is important. Now if I could just get my wife to make the big bucks like crabbylane's, then I could retire too and stay home!

I worked for a great company for over 5 years. I serviced and installed display items in Home Depots as a service vendor. I absolutely loved that job. Then one day I was doing my job and got a real bad back. Seems I had herniated 2 discs in my low back real bad. But like an idiot I kept working, until the pain became really unbearable and I contemplated ... . well I went to the doctor with an ultimatum-fix me or I am history. I had back surgery went back to work after 4 months of rehab. Again, I was happy in my job. I loved getting up everyday to go to work right up until the day that again I reinjured my low back. Then the company stopped being nice to me. they canned me the first opportunity they got. Oh they said they would call if something came up-hummmm amazingly they keep advertising for help in my local paper but they don't call me and won't take my calls when I call them to inquire. I wish I could find a simular job that gave me so much joy.

I am part owner of a Vacation Beach Rental Company in Florida, I do it because I love the public, love making families dream vacations reality, and just love the Island I work on!!!
