Well,
I really don't see why McCain doesn't leave the republican party. He was one of the reasons, I was once proud of being republican. Fiscally conservative, without catering to corporate greed. Straght talker, never minced words, or got caught up, in political doublespeak. IMHO, this administration, could learn a thing or two from McCain.
I read today, that because he is vocally fiscally conservative, as opposed to the administration, he is being ostracised, by his own party. I wish he would declare himself, a Libertarian, and help my party out. He Talks like one, votes like one, and I'm still trying to figure out why he isn't one.
I would vote for a Kerry/McCain ticket, and hope that something happened to Kerry. I will never vote for another form of plant life, like the one in the WhiteHouse, they need too much fertilizer.

If McCain ran as a Libertarian, I would vote for him.

about the ONLY thing that would get me to vote for kerry is if mccain was running as veep, and only then because i'd love to see mccain as pres some day.

i'd vote for mccain in a heartbeat, no matter what party label he pinned on his lapel. i'm just flat-out impressed with the man.

alas, i don't think that mccain will go for it.

I think that McCain could never be elected as president (even though I keep writing him in when I vote - as I did Tuesday in KY).

I think that people want a candidate that is a talking head and not a thinking head. They want the candidates to tell them what they want to hear and not what they need to hear.

Personally, I don't see how any of the candidates can subscribe to their party's platforms and have a straight conscious.
