The Daytona is different than the rest of the Cains. Well, that's obvious, but it's not focused on strength. It uses all ligeros, but the ligeros are solely from the Jalapa Valley of Nicaragua. The tobaccos grown in this region are generally used to tone down a blend. They're actually used for balance. They're flavorful but far from overpowering when compared to ligeros from Esteli or Omotepe. In using these tobaccos you get a big flavor without the strength. And I am getting a good amount of cream, with some spice on the backend.

So, it sounds like this may not be a good early morning commute cigar. 😣 LOL I see some small [vitola] cigars and think "these look good for the drive to work." But for some reason I keep grabbing these smaller cigars with ligero and nicaraguan tobacco in them. Oh well, it still enjoyable on the way in, even if I stumble through the front door. 🤫

Gifted mandoman(Dave) one of these yesterday. He said it was just OK.

Well, could not resist smoking another Cain Daytona today. I am liking this stick now and being that it is 79 degrees outside, clear, LOTS of Daytona sun, sitting on the back porch listening to all the bikes rumble that are here for bike week, finishing a book I am reading.

The Cain Daytona is very different from the Cain F. Lots of smoke, good medium flavor and not overpowering. I did not lose any flavor and it stayed consistent throughout. A nice change from all the powerhouse sticks out there. Even after nubbin' this thing, I did not get any burn or harshness.

The guess the first one i smoked was just bad timing. I just finished a Torano Signature toro and maybe that had something to do with it. I think i may have to get a few more when they become available here. 🤣
