Once again, Fuzz is wrong.
The accepted definition of a fundementalist Christian is one that resists modernist thinking and belief. Modernism is a wholehearted rejection of realism (in culture and thinking), is anti-Enlightenment, and embraces humanism. In short, to be a modernist is to throw in with socialists of virtually any stripe, and reject the notion that books like the Bible are divinely inspired.
By that definition, most Christian congregations could be defined as Christian fundementalists, which includes a majority of Lutherans, Roman Catholics, Baptists, Anglicans, and so on.
To contrast: Enlightenment thinkers gave us the United States of America. Modernists gave us the Soviet Union.
Fuzz is simply stuck on his Pentacostal roots, and mad at his parents because he wouldn't let him listen to heavy metal, and smoke pot.
In retrospect, he probably should have listened to his parents.
