B&SoTL,
Like many others, I'm sure, I've been following this thread. Often I've wanted to jump in, but didn't feel I had anything new to add. However, after reading cexshun's comment, "Actually, after 8 years of Catholic school and attending church/bible study 3 times a week, I can say I know more about the Bible and religion then most people." I felt that I must speak up.
Now, I too am Catholic, but w/o his years of 'schooling' and probably considerably less bible study, but still some with very good teachers. So, when I come across an 'issue,' that I've not recieved any specific 'teaching' about, I look to the Early Church Fathers, those who wrote about Christ's teachings and His Church until A.D. 325 (The time of the Nicene Council.)
This is what they had to say...which is good enough for me.
Pax et Bonum,
