If you truly believe that all, or even most, of those statements are facts, there is no sense at all in engaging further. There may be a couple of slightly defensible opinions in there, but they aren't facts.

And they dont make me uncomfortable. They are irrelevant. My only point is they are wasting an opportunity. If they had organization, leadership, and a point they would be in a position to really make some headway. The eyes of the national media are all over them but they have nothing to say.

If they had an actual point and an actual spokesperson they could be on every channel making their case to the public and getting more people behind them. The media is lapping up their little dog and pony show in the park and would give a literate spokesperson all the airtime he could handle.

But if you want to know if I agree more with the dirty hippies pooping in the park or people who think that getting businesses hiring will help the economy, I am going to go business everytime. See my above post on jobs.

My personal philosophy? Give companies tax breaks for hiring. Hire XXX number of employees get Y% of tax break. Hire XXX number of returning veterans get YY% tax break. The money the government collects in new payroll taxes pays for the corporate tax breaks. And the money in the hands of employees is more likely to end up back in the economy rather than sitting in some corporate bank account.

You're really stretching it to meet your case. LEGAL protest is. The courts will attest to that. What you're defending is a whole host of crimes starting with trespassing.

Occupy Wall Street is leaderless resistance movement with people of many colors, genders and political persuasions. The one thing we all have in common is that We Are The 99% that will no longer tolerate the greed and corruption of the 1%. We are using the revolutionary Arab Spring tactic to achieve our ends and encourage the use of nonviolence to maximize the safety of all participants.

Is there a point there? Is there an agenda? Other than not tolerating greed and corruption do they say what they do want? Are they offering a solution or an alternative? Using Arab Spring tactics to acheive our ends - what ends?

Its like standing up and saying you are pissed off and then when someone asks what you are pissed off about you say the world in general. Then they ask what are you going to do about it and you say I am going to stand here and tell anyone who will listen that I am pissed off.

When you tell these stories its helpful to the listener if you have a point!

What do you want to change? How would you like to change it? What outcome would you like there to be from your changes?
